HooperData

The modern basketball projection engine — NBA & WNBA model vs. sportsbook lines, nightly.

What is HooperData?

HooperData publishes data-driven projections for every NBA and WNBA matchup of the night. Our model produces a projected score, point spread, total points, and per-player projections for points, rebounds, assists, threes, steals, blocks and common combos (PRA, PR, PA, RA, S+B). We then line up every projection next to the live market price posted by the major U.S. sportsbooks so you can see, at a glance, where the model disagrees with the line — and by how much.

How the projections are built

Each team and player projection blends multiple signals: recent-game form (last 5, 10, 20), home/away splits, matchup defensive ranks by position and stat, pace and rest, injury status from official reports, and prior-season baselines. The output is a point estimate plus a confidence band — every prop is shown with a Mean Absolute Error and bias score so you can judge how reliable that line has been historically.

What you can do here

Today on HooperData

Tonight's NBA and WNBA matchups, full slate of player props with projected over/under counts, opponent defensive ranks per stat, and live sportsbook prices from FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars and ESPN BET. The board updates as the books move their lines.

Why we built it

Most public model sites stop at a single projected score. HooperData shows you the full breakdown — how the model arrived at its number, what its historical accuracy is for that exact stat and that exact player, which opponent splits drove the projection up or down, and how the current sportsbook line compares against the model's range. The goal is transparency: every number you see has the math behind it visible one click away.

Responsible use

HooperData is an analytics and projection tool. Nothing on this site is betting advice or a guarantee of outcomes. All projections carry uncertainty and historical accuracy is shown next to every number. If you choose to wager, please bet responsibly, set limits, and never wager more than you can afford to lose.
